 i had booked for 3 days at pension adamshof. however when we arrived at the place we quickly decided that it was very much off the beaten track. it was a long way from the s bahn and very inconvieniently located. also our room smelt of stale smoke and one of our towels looked like it had already been used.when we told the management of our change of plan... that we wanted to stay just one night. we were told we had to pay for the full 3 nights. the management was extremely rude and insistent that we pay.after much arguing we finally settled that i should pay ?72.50 for the one night instead of the ?50 a night that was advertised. the difference being the money the hotel said they would have to pay venere in commission.first thing next morning we were happy to leave the place. it was a dreadful experience unlike the rest of our stay in berlin. lattenroste bei sämtlichen betten waren gebrochen oder ziemlich lotterhaft! bettenqualität ganz schlecht!! am vortag ausgemachtes und bezahltes frühstück konnte nicht konsumiert werden, da der frühstücksraum auch noch nach 1 stunde geschlossen war!!! das geld für das bereits bezahlte frühstück konnte nicht zurückerstattet werden, da auch die rezeption geschlossen war. im ganzen hotel war vom hotelpersonal niemand anwesend!!! es warteten zur gleichen zeit noch mehrere gäste vergebens auf ihr bezahltes frühstück!!! angenehmes quartier. gibt aber in diesem quartier nichts anzuschauen. mit s-bahn ab lichtenberg in wenigen minuten mitten in berlin... gute lage... ruiges quartier. das haus sauber, mit tv, aber sehr ringhörig. vill spass im adamshof noice from the hallway and people using the bell at the front door in the middle of the night. the room was poorly equiped, bad lightening, no mirrors, sheets very worn, no hand towels, no room cleaning during our stay (4 days), corridors very dirty, a great find in berlin! the hotel was a 5 minute walk from the s bahn, and from there about 30 minutes into the downtown area. the street was quiet, and the small tree-lined courtyard next to the hotel was pleasant and quiet. there are bakeries, cafes, bars, a supermarket and a bank right down the street. the rooms were spacious, with a sink, tv and closets. there were 2 bathrooms available on each floor (shared by 4 rooms), which were very clean, spacious and had great showers. even with full occupancy on the floor i never once had to wait to use them. i explored berlin for a week and this was a great place to call home every night, at a fabulous price.
