 efficient shuttle to airport  small room sizeroom in need of refurbishmentno tv remoteafter ordering it took over 30 minutes in the bar to be served with soup and a sandwich difficulty calculating bill at checkout on morning of departure so convenient to the nec  comfortable stay, so relaxed and short walk to nec. food good. pool looks out onto lake. staff very friendly and helpful. room was very comfortable, everything worked and was clean in appearance. i have stayed here before and had no issues and would use it again.however, the check in this time had a queue which took 45 minutes to get to the counter, why did it take so long ? checking out i had the express option available but i required a receipt. again i had to queue for some 15 minutes. these were the only issues i had with my stay. liked the room service, the decor of the room, lighting. having to queue to check in & then again to check out. i was hugely disapointed with the queing situation. on check in. after queing up, i was given the wrong room number so i had to return to the reception queue up again to ask why i couldnt get into the room then the mistake was discovered. nobody offered to carry my bag up to the room or apologise for the error. location to the nec, all rooms have a functional work area the beds are uncomfortably hard, originally i was blocked into a room next to a lift with a wedding party below. lack of staff on the front desk check in took too long in excess of 20 mins the hotel was clean and like any other standard hotel, although it was full of life, a lot of people buzzing about. the long queues at check in. although the queue at check in was long, on saturday evening, hotel staff were offering the guests a glass(s) of red or white wine, while in the queue. they were friendly and the meal was very tasty. it was close to the nec, hence the reason for being there and if going to nec again would stay again.
