well equipped room
my reservation was not found on the hotels computer system so there was a problem with checking in. this was sorted eventually but not a good start to my stay. disappointed!

we booked 2 rooms, one room from 31 jan to the 5 ob feb, and one room from the 1st to the 3 of feb, check in on the first room was fine, except that i was put in a smoking room but they were more than happy to move me to a non smoking room. when my colleague checked in on friday, reception said that the room wasn't booked even though i presented her with the booking confirmation. luckily i was moved from the smoking room which only had 1 double bed to the non smoking room which had 2 beds the night before.
other than this, we had a pleasent stay.

the room was spacious and very comfortable
the only thing that disappointed me was the food. evening menu stated pasta au gratin (which means with cheese) there was no cheese so the dish was vegetables and tomato and too sharp, - disappointing!

the staff were always friendly and helpful and the rooms have all the extra facilities you expect.when we did experience a problem the duty manager did all in her power to sort it out.
when we arrived and asked for our smoking room we were given a room which was not up to the usual standard of cleanliness or decor.
after checking our bags into the room first given we had to rush out to a prearranged event and only noticed the condition of the room on our return late the same night. rather than start loooking to move rooms at the late hour we spoke to the duty manager the following morning. she immediately showed us a new room which was to the standard of what we had come to expect from the hotel. when we checked out there had also been a reduction made in the tarriff to compensate for the 1st night.

the bedding was nice and clean and the tv was great
the room was noisy and there was soon one banging doors, and the staff were arrogant and unapproachable
the room was nice and tidy and loved the tv. but was really dark, bedding was lovely and clean. but the bathroom gave the whole room a tired look. the sanitaryware was so dated and made it feel really small and dirty and the toilet seat hinges were broken. but there were small uncessary extras (like cotton wool balls). if you put white tiles and a white suite in it would change it completely
