 everything was just right. no complaints.  n/a  staff were friendly and helpful. we were made to feel as if we were at home. room was good standard for a guesthouse. the location was perfect - bath city centre was only a 5 minute walk. the warmth of the welcome, the cleanliness, the beautiful surroundings, the surprise after reading dreadful reviews on the internet, and the close proximity to jane austen's bath. having to leave so my husband could go back to work. i booked this in a hurry and nearly cancelled at the last moment after reading such poor reviews on the internet. the windsor is now under new ownership and everything appears to have been addressed. the welcome was warm, the room beautiful, air conditioning,an excellent breakfast especially the sausages!, the proximity to the town centre and jane austen lived in the next street at one time and would probably have walked passed the front door! this was a perfect receipe to an excellent break and have already recommended the windsor to several friends. excellent accommodation and location with helpful and friendly staff. très bien situésympathique nous avions accepté le troisième étage mais... nous ne savions pas que nous aurions a y monter nos valises nous mêmes ! pour le prix c'est totalement inconcevable !la chambre était très exiguë et la salle de bains mal éclairée the many small luxurious touches -- such as a towel warmer in the bathroom, fine linens in the dining room, room service at no extra charge -- all added up to excellent value for the money. the friendly helpful staff and the layout of the room we needed more information about bath we stayed on a monday and a lot of restaurants were closed. we like to plan our own visits and probably would have searched for more information if we were staying longer.the closeness to the centre of bath was a bonus as i had looked for hotels in bath for a while before choosing the winsor. the young man who greeted us at the hotel was always very polite and helpful.
