 friendly waitress staff in restaurant  there was a wedding party on the night i stayed at the hotel. i understand several guests complained at the noise. i was probably lucky in that i had a room in another part of the hotel and was not really disturbed personnel accueillant, qualité de la chambre, le breakfast, décor chaleureux  le prix! (le luxe a un coût) the room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. the hotel is going through a refurbishment at present but it is not noticeable other than a mild aroma of paint in certain corridors. the room was well appointed and very comfortable. food was of a high standard with plenty of choice. i will stay here again. staff helpful and very friendly and polite. the poor state of the shower black mould and mildew have they never heard of anti mould and mildew sprays for as little as 99p for 500ml spray bottle would get rid of unsightly mould. decor in hotel a bit tired bedroom and ensuite in need of a good clean, skirting boards dusty and bathroom mouldy and mildew in shower, needs refurbished to get it up to scratch which is happening in other parts of the hotel. swimming pool ok, steam room broken first night, but smelt mouldy and needed a good clean, also jacuzzi not working on first night repaired next day. evening meal a bit pricey for basic food and service very slow. hotel a good 10 -15 minute walk from city centre uphill a lot of the way. room was very roomy with a lovely four poster bed, child's bed had been requested but not in room on arrival reception arranged bed immediately when asked. the hotel was quite close to the centre of inverness, within walking distance. the food was excelent. en suite shower was not of a good standard. overall the hotel was adequate. the room was not ready when we arrived, and a lack of staff seemed to be an ongoing problem. the food was very good, but we will probably not visit again as we had a few problems each day that should have been easily rectified. the view looked on to another part of the hotel. a kitchen seemed to start up at 7.30 am. the window would not close easily and had to be attended to by 2 reluctant staff. dirty lamp shades and areas around the shower. little power in an old shower. room tempature far too hot. poor pint of beer. breakfast room to hot. is there any point as i do not think our stay will result in a follow up visit! nor a recommendation to others. Situated in the heart of inverness with the ambiance of a country dwelling. craigmonie offers much more than your average hotel with luxurious leisure activities and a delicious a la carte menu. at craigmonie hotel as well as offering 35 tastefully decorated rooms. we regret that due to pending refurbishment our leisure facilities are presently closed. however we can arrange, for a small extra charge, residents to use the facilities of a near by hotel leisure club. Free of charge parking.
