this review could have been totally different if it hadn´t been for this one manager who had no sensitifity towards our needs. the days inn was all we expected. it was in our price range and it had all we needed. it was value for our money and could have been very comfortable. unfortunately we were given what seemed the worst room in the hotel. it was right at the front of the building, facing an intersection. traffic and loud noices from people walking past did not stop all night. next morning i ask the manager on duty to give us another room, since i had barely slept. all he had to say was, that they were fully booked. he could have switched us before someone else moved in. after all they have 75 rooms. the next two nights were only a little better, because i bought ear plugs from walgreen´s down the road. make sure to ask for the rooms away from the street. i would recomment this hotel, just not the front rooms.breakfast is standing up (if you lucky you can get a chair. only 4) and consists only of pastries, coffee and orange juice. i guess it´s okay if one likes suger for breakfast.

the price quoted was excellent. i paid only $40 a night. the immediate area around the hotel was pretty poor; beggars and massage parlours. that said it was only a short walk to the shops, theatre and the wharfs. the room was a bit dark and gloomy and not very clean when i arrived, but it was quiet and secure and i slept very well. when i tried to extend my stay the price quoted rose to $90 which i felt was too much but if you can get it cheaper i think it was actually good value!
