 it was simply furnished and clean  it was very small, the walls were thin and staff played loud music early in the morning.  an indication of the room size would have been informative, the poor quality of the breakfast and early sitting were pretty unpleasant - who wants to eat between 8 and 9 on holiday? check in was slow, but staff were friendly and polite. friendly staff, good service. room clean, but shabby. bathroom smelt strongly of damp. overall ok for money. slightly outdated. cheap breakfast ingredients. car parking facilities cramped. the bed was comfortable and clean, also the room itself was clean. the stench of damp in the bathroom and the restaurant was only open for an early sitting as they only had bookings for 6 guests. although i can see the logic i found this disappointing as i don't like to eat until much later. the shower doors did not close properly and the stench of damp in the bathroom was unbearable. the wallpaper in the room was pealing off and the veiw from the room was a rendered wall. the old tv was badly placed and quaility of reception was poor. i feel that the hotel should have informed guests that they were having a refurb on the web site prior to booking rather than a notice in the reception on arrival. i would like to point out that the photo of the double room on the web site was in no way indicative of the actual room we stayed in. hotel was easy to find and well located. the walls were quite thin. doors banged loudly in neighbouring rooms with the automatic closing mechanisms. it wasn't the ritz, but for that price, of course it wasn't. it was better than i had expected for such a budget hotel. i would definitely stay there again. the staff were lovely. the bathroom must have been new. it was spotless. nice friendly staff at breakfast. portier friendly and correct. beds really in bad shape. nearly falling apart. toilet floor bad shape. very bad smell from toilet & basin. no curtains keeping out the sun, just a white thin curtain. rooms need a remake. very loud snarwling from neigbour. for a short stop & just sleep ok. price ok. clean and comfortable tv lounge very basic and limited bar food. however, it is appreciated that the hotel was in the middle of re-furbishment would book again. good value for money.
